There are three dial options – a salmon dial (the second salmon dial we've seen from Baltic in the past year), a silver dial, and a blue dial. Depending on the leather strap configuration, each variant takes on a different and interesting look.
was wondering if you ever thought of changing the page layout of your site? Its very well written; I love what youve got to say. But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so people could connect with it better. Youve got an awful lot of text for only having 1 or 2 images. Maybe you could space it out better?|
Little design nods aside, it really is apples and oranges. One option is a vintage watch that you can't guarantee to its original 60-meter water resistance, has a manual-wind movement, and a lot of charm, but doesn't come close to the modern level of finishing you get on the new Speedmaster Pilot. It has its own take on a travelers' watch movement, automatic winding, and its own cool story.
Schwartz's collection really represents the full spectrum of price points and styles. And hey, he's an athlete, so it only makes sense he'd have a G-Shock or two. This yellow and black model is just one splash of red away from being the perfect watch for a Kansas City Chief. Schwartz uses this as his workout watch. If you'd ever seen him at the KC practice facility, he likely had this on wrist.
Although they are very different watches in terms of horological sophistication, what they do have in common is the frying-pan vibe. Both have for-their-time oversized cases, and both have slab-sided case flanks and large, sharply angled bezels – the two together would make a lovely, two-watch collection, if your finances can withstand getting out of the frying pan and into the fire.– Jack Forster
For Vacheron Constantin, however, doing great open-dialed and open-worked movements just seems to be the status quo. Amidst all the craziness of Watches & Wonders, the release of their new Traditionnelle Tourbillon Retrograde Date Openface (what a mouthful) didn't get the attention it deserved. It's time to fix that.

As an aside, I want you all to know that I read the comments every week and take note of all your amazing suggestions. There are a few films where the cries are just a little bit louder than all others – and Speed is one of them.
By downsizing the Overseas to 34.5mm but otherwise keeping it pretty much the same as the 41mm, Vacheron is updating how it thinks about the Overseas collection. That is to say: more options for more wrist sizes, whether you're a guy or gal, and whether your wrist is bigger or smaller. If you want a smaller Overseas with diamonds there are still plenty of those – Vacheron also introduced a diamond set 35mm Overseas in 2023.
Its 45mm diameter carbon and titanium case, entirely in shades of grey, protects an openworked dial on which the hour and minute hands, the chronograph counters, a small seconds hand, and a power reserve indicator located at 12 o’clock are positioned.
For me, the very first L.U.C movement had to bring some real innovation, which we introduced with the twin-stacked barrels and the quality of energy they provided, Scheufele said in press materials. "Also, while other micro-rotor movements were unidirectional in their winding, we wanted an ultra-efficient bi-directional winding system. Finally, the Poincon de Geneve and the COSC chronometer certification was, to me, the ultimate statement of the authenticity of our work."
As such, the silvered-opaline dial of the Traditionnelle Tourbillon Chronograph with its pared-down decor hosts the regulating device coupled with a small seconds and graced with a very large opening at 12 o’clock.
Alfredo eventually sold the watch via Phillips in November 2015. It carried an estimate of CHF 100,000 to 150,000, but ended up selling for more than double that, coming in at CHF 305,000 all-in. The lucky winner? Audemars Piguet. The company purchased the watch for its museum, adding to its extensive archive. But it turns out that AP had something else in mind for the watch too ...
For over a 110 years (the company was established in 1905) Rolex has been a leader in the world of watches with lots of innovations and patents and is able to make people literally run to their booth at the annual BaselWorld exhibition to be among the first to see what's new.
Of all the attempts to create a Smartwatch infused with details to appeal to the staunch mechanical watch enthusiast, I believe that TAG Heuer is the closest one on the money to achieve that goal. Also a quick note - yes, I am aware that the brand just launched a new model in the series today. Yes, I will give a more in-depth look at it next week.
I've learned to appreciate (and occasionally love) the artistry involved in making a gem-set watch, but for me, it can't compare to the talent required to accomplish this dial. This is the first time Vacheron has combined gem-setting and grisaille enamel, and while in Vacheron's pictures, the dial trended more green, here it seemed more blue to me. Regardless, the depth and contrast of the enamel work was outstanding and offered more color than traditional grisaille enamel work.
May: On May 6, at the Sacramento RedBar virtual meetup, another member expresses interest in an Aquis with a red dial. On May 11, Geronimo takes this feedback to HQ in Switzerland. Global CEO Rolf Studer loves the idea: "Why wouldn't we make it," he says. "Part of Oris has always been listening to the people who buy our watches."
I think it would be my transition from HR to auctions. My degree was in human resources, and I had a good reputation. I had a really good position where I was recognized. I was almost 40, and I decided to let go of all of that and start something where I had absolutely no proof of knowledge whatsoever. It's very tough to start a new career.
I have a feeling that it's no coincidence Nomos saved these to release in November. It's kind of a perfect holiday gift at this price point, given the versatility of the size and most importantly of its durability for everyday wear. Now, to talk myself out of one…
